Tanya D.
I support individuals to understand addiction and to achieve their own personal goals to live healthier, happier lives. I use a strength based approach because I believe everyone has potential and that change is possible. Receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Diploma in Child and Youth Work has provided me the opportunity to work with youth and their families in a variety of settings. I have had the privilege of meeting youth and adults where they are within their stages of change, to help them understand their addiction, to support change and to assist in recognizing the great strengths they have inside themselves.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, singing, as well as playing hockey and baseball.

I am a Registered Social Worker, with a Bachelor of Social Work from University of Windsor. I use a trauma informed, client centered approach with DBT aligned strategies in my work to foster steps towards recovery. Throughout my studies and work I have had a focus on the impact that Adverse Childhood Experiences have on addiction and mental health as well as methods to break the cycle. My passion in Social Work has always been to help youth and adolescents foster healthy growth and change through self determination.
In my spare time I’m found doing anything art related, listening to music, or enjoying the outdoors.
